In one sentence: renting a canoe to go down the Sella is easier (and more complete) than it looks. We tell you which canoes we rent, what the rental includes, how much it costs and how to book yours, all from Arriondas, kilometre zero of the river.
When you search for "canoe rental on the Sella" you are probably after the same thing as almost everyone: a good canoe, all the kit sorted and no surprises on price. Here you have exactly that, explained clearly by the team that has spent more than 25 years renting canoes in Arriondas.

Which canoes we rent
All our canoes are stable, open and unsinkable, designed so that anyone can go down the Sella safely, even on their first time:
- K1 (1-seat): for those who like to go at their own pace.
- K2 (2-seat): the most popular one for couples and friends.
- K3 (3-seat): ideal for families (two adults and a little one, for example).
- A factory-fitted backrest on every canoe, at no extra cost: it comes as standard and makes the descent far more comfortable. We cover it in canoes with a backrest.
For groups of 4 or more people, you split across several canoes (K2+K2, K3+K1...). If you want to know what paddling them is like, we tell you in the Sella descent by canoe.
What the rental includes · all sorted
Here is the key: you are not renting "just the canoe", you are renting the whole day sorted. Included in the price:
- Canoe (with backrest) and a paddle for each seat.
- Approved life jacket for everyone, children's sizes too.
- Dry barrel for phone and keys.
- A short lesson with a qualified guide before you set off.
- Return transfer from the end of the route back to Arriondas.
- Free car park, changing rooms with hot showers and lockers.
- Canine life jacket if you come with a dog (it goes down free).
The wetsuit, when the water is cold, is also included (the guide decides; in summer you don't need it). What you do bring yourself: a towel, closed shoes that can get wet, sun cream and a change of clothes. We don't include food: you can bring something light or stop at a riverside bar along the way.
